Coil Genius is a tool to calculate coils of wire around a cylindrical rod/bit, e.g. to be used in RBAs (rebuildable atomizers).

Only issue is that a coil in parallel has it resistance doubled. The app cuts the resistance in half as if it were a series coil. Other than that its a great app. I use it almost daily.
I use Coil Genius to plan different builds. It makes it easy to build to a specific wattage or coil diameter with the wire you have available. The app usefully highlights potential bad builds with its heat flux and heat-up time estimates. Max amp limits also have their own flag the user can set. I found it more intuitive than other calculators due to the the coil diagram that displays changes numerically and graphically as you go. This makes it really easy to visual the build in real life. I also like how efficient the UI and controls are and the 100% stability of the app so far.
You can build and run you coil in real time without ever opening your tool box. Paying attention to all the details before you build really helps with your over all satisfaction! Upgrades for the future for me would include the ability to calculate at least 8 multi coil builds, as well as naming and saving current builds for your rdas so you know what u have and like. Being able calculate for specialty coils such as twisted , parallel, and Clapton would really make this the only coil app to have....
Had been using FireWrap but it didnt have the wire types I needed such as nickel200. This app has nickel200 and many others. Havent found the need for the in-app purchase of custom wire types so dont let the in-app purchase in the description scare you from buying this app. It is fully functional from what I can tell for the initial $2 price. Very friendly interface after a couple settings adjustments to suit my needs such as increasing amperage threshold, wire size from mm to awg, and voltage threshold. Easy to understand and use for my dual and quad coil builds. So far the app has been spot on with its measurements after checking my builds on an ohm meter. This app is a must have if you build sub ohm coils. Surprised there are no other reviews yet as this app is purely awesome and people should rate it as such.
Ive been using this app for about 3 months and I use it every day. Im a compulsive rebuilder so even good coils get switched out in favor of an even better one, hopefully. This app really helps to take the guesswork out of the planning phase. I use Steam Engine on the computer and for more complex builds, but this in many ways improves on that. It is very simple and intuitive to use, plus it automatically calculates Ohms law while you tweak your coil preference. This is extremely helpful when building for a mech mod. It is also very accurate, so I dont get any surprises when I put my deck on the tester. Thank you for this essential tool.
